Frequently Asked Questions
I am in a relationship. Can I come?
Certainly. Since the focus of the party is on helping single people meet, we'd ask two things: bring a single friend, and help that person meet someone.
What is 2251 Market?
That's the space where Tin Pan used to be, next door to Lime. Soon it will be the Swanky Steakhouse, but for one night only it will be the home of Marga's Mixer.
How can you afford to throw a cocktail party for $3? Who's paying for the alcohol?
You're buying the drinks, sweetie. It's a no-host bar, provided by Lime. We picked a low cover charge because we wanted to be as inclusive as possible.
Are you serving food at the party?
Since we are working with the folks from Lime, their menus will be on hand at the party, and you can order food from them.
What should I wear?
You can go flashy or funky, it's up to you.
What are these "party games" you're talking about?
Come and find out. Play only if you want to. Win fabulous prizes.
What is the age range of attendees?
We won't know till Tuesday but we aim to please a diverse group of cool queer folk of all ages (over 21) and from all backgrounds.
Why can't I get on the guest list?
The guest list was open for more than a week, and the spaces went to the "early adopters" who saw our flyers first. We're sorry you didn't make it, and hope that you'll come see us anyway.
I signed up for the guest list but I didn't get a confirmation. What gives?
We sent out confirmations manually on Sunday evening (2/12). If you have not received a confirmation, check your spam folder for an email from guestlist at margasmixer.com. Unfortunately, the guest list is now full, and we cannot add any more people to the list.
